About Me

How It All Began

I didn't set out to be a florist.

It all started one afternoon across the street, when my neighbor, Barbara, invited me in and said, "Let me show you what I've been learning."

She had just taken a floral class, and in minutes, I was hooked.

My very first arrangement—made in a teacup—wasn't perfect, but it was cute, whimsical, and full of possibility.

That was the spark.

I love flowers because they're both beautiful and challenging. They begin lovely on their own, but with a little creativity and care, they can be arranged into something extraordinary.

My Style

My style is organic, garden-inspired, a little bit whimsical—with plenty of movement and life.

I want flowers to look like you just gathered them from your own garden, not pulled them from a factory mold.

What Matters to Me

I believe flowers should be enjoyed—not just as decoration, but as part of life's moments: weddings, celebrations, hospitality, sympathy, or even just a bright pop of color at your kitchen window.

I design with the end in mind: Will this arrangement lift someone's spirits? Make them smile? Transform a space?

My goal is for flowers to be more than "pretty." I want them to be memorable.

I also believe in being resourceful. Beauty doesn't have to break the bank.

Whether it's using greenery for texture, foraging from my own yard, or substituting blooms that look expensive but aren't, I love finding ways to make a little go a long way—without compromising on the "wow" factor.

How I Work

Every arrangement starts with a conversation.

I'll ask about your favorite flowers (and the ones you don't like), your colors, your event, and—most importantly—the feeling you want your guests to have when they see the flowers.

From there, I create something bespoke—something that reflects your vision and my style.

I'm honest about what works and what doesn't, and I'll often suggest alternatives you might not have considered.

The goal is always the same: for you to be delighted.

A Few Things You Should Know About Me

• I'm a perfectionist in the best way—I won't stop until it's done right.

• I can do any size arrangements, but I love big, dramatic arrangements (and I've learned the hard way how to engineer them so they actually stay together!).

My favorite flowers? Ranunculus for their playful stems, garden roses for their fragrance, dahlias for their color and texture—and thistles, because they're wonderfully unexpected.

• I'm not afraid to admit I don't like baby's breath or bells of Ireland.

• I've been arranging flowers since 2010 and have worked on everything from small kitchen table pieces to filling entire event spaces with blooms.

Why I Do This

For me, floral design is more than a job—it's a passion and a ministry.

I love using my skills to bless people, to bring beauty into their celebrations, and to create moments they'll remember.

Whether I'm working on a wedding, a church event, or a simple bouquet for a friend, I approach it with the same heart: doing it all for God's glory, and with a deep love for what flowers can do.
